Get ready for a night full of incredible vibes, delicious food, electrifying music, and non-stop dancing. The Sangeet is all about music, laughter, and celebrating love with beats that will keep you on your feet. The night is a celebration of the the bride and groom, and of the community that means so much to them.
So bring your energy and your dancing shoes, and unleash your inner Bollywood star!
We'll be starting the morning with a haldi celebration, a prewedding ritual when close family and friends apply haldi (turmeric paste) to the bride's and groom's face and body. Turmeric has an auspicious significance in all Indian weddings, and coating the bride and groom with it is a way to bless them to have a life of prosperity ahead. As a bonus, turmeric also acts as a skin exfoliant and we all love good skin care, don't we?
The haldi will be followed by the mehndi! Mehndi is a form of art where artists apply beautiful henna patterns to the bride's hands, arms, and feet. But it's not just the bride! All of you are welcome (and encouraged!) to have mehndi applied to your hands. You can ask for as simple or intricate a pattern as you desire!
Finally, join us on a night of tradition around a sacred fire, as we embark on our greatest adventure together. From the groom's baraat (think, wedding procession with lots of music and dancing) and the bride's royal entrance, to professing and affirming our commitment to each other -- the ceremony will cap our celebrations.
The ceremony will be followed by a wedding reception, with more good food, music, and A+ vibes!
